We were contacted by a business owner in Buckinghamshire who wanted to separate her home life from her growing consultancy business.
Read on for full details of this stunning project.
Having previously commuted to London every day, our client wanted to continue working from home after the lockdown eased.
But just like so many people, she found it difficult to balance her consultancy business and home-life when it was all under one roof.
A completely separate space away from the house was needed to provide her with both peace and quiet and confidentiality, as well as the prospect of growing the number of people who could work in her office at any one time.
Along with the usual office requirements, (extra electrical sockets and a strong broadband connection), our client wanted a kitchen area and a small room for a WC and a wash-hand basin.
This would then enable her to spend her time completely in her office and not encroach upon her house during the working day.
Our design team got to work, and proposed a room which utilised the space available, giving her everything she needed to run her business in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
Once the design was approved and we carried out the free site visit to inspect the area to make sure the proposed design would sit comfortably within her garden, our work was scheduled and all the necessary materials ordered and delivered onsite.
In addition to our usual office build, our fabulous installation team fitted all the relevant drainage requirement and sourced and fitted her kitchen and toilet, all before handing over her keys.
Because we specialise in truly bespoke garden rooms, and each design in created especially for the individual client and project, we are able to provide solutions that are not possible with an off-the-shelf garden room.
Separating the inside space, we created a small room to accommodate a toilet with a vanity unit, and added in a kitchenette area with a sink and cupboards.
With a totally self-sufficient garden office, it’s possible to completely shut yourself away to concentrate solely on work.
Extra electrical sockets and wired internet were provided to allow for all the necessary IT equipment needed to run her business, and plumbing and drainage were installed for the kitchen and toilet facilities.
As with all our garden rooms, they are fully insulated and come fitted with a radiator as standard, however this particular client upgraded to an air conditioning unit to keep her office chilled-cool through the summer and toasty warm in the winter.
“Can’t recommend Haon highly enough – great from start to finish and delighted with the result. Jason was so easy to deal with and helped with ideas as well as managing the whole process seamlessly for us.”.
From the very start, right through to finish, we were able to offer our client endless options to create her bespoke garden office.
Leaving her with the perfect working environment she had envisioned, and enabling her to run her business professionally in a peaceful, quiet, and confidential environment.
We designed the perfect space to sit beautifully in her garden, giving a light and airy feel both inside and out.
Finally, no more long commutes for this lovely lady, it’s now just a short trip across her landscaped garden!
“The installation team were fantastic – polite, helpful, and really grafted hard whilst so obviously caring about the quality of their work. The job was done on time, within budget and was completely hassle free, what more can you ask for… I would recommend Haon without hesitation”.
